A party fit for a little princess

Little Miss Savanna had a birthday this past week and she's now 3 years old! When we asked her what kind of a party she wanted to have of course her response was Rapunzel! We had a wonderful party and had both sides of the family over for dinner, presents and cupcakes. I got her a Rapunzel dress for her birthday and she wore it for 4 days straight. She still asks to wear it every day but I've been making her wait until we're done going places for the day to put it on. We sure love this little girl so much and are so blessed to have her as a big part of our family. :)

Aunt Alyssa gave her Rapunzel hair for her birthday and it pretty much made her night. :)

Singing happy birthday and blowing out her candle.

And what would a Rapunzel party be with out floating lanterns?!

Busy Busy

Life is busy as ever at the Facer residence. We've been busy the last few weeks with showers and weddings and receptions and birthdays and holidays and everything in between. :) Canyon has been busy with preschool and itty bitty ball. This month he's learning how to play soccer and football and doing very well at both. Savanna is loving dance class and spend her afternoons trying on every dress in her closet twice. Yesterday she was so lucky because Aunt Alyssa let her model some Rapunzel dresses for their online business and it was the best day ever. :) She will be turning 3 in a week and is so excited because she is having a Rapunzel party. I have been super busy with my Etsy shop this month, which is awesome and I hope it doesn't slow down. I celebrated my 27th birthday with my kiddos last week and although Scott was away it was still a wonderful day and my family made sure it was special. Nikki came over in the afternoon with a bouquet of flowers and cupcakes from none other than my fav place dippidee! Love my sister. :) After we had cupcakes we walked to the park and played for a while. For dinner the kids and I went to Cafe Rio because Thursdays at Cafe Rio are the best because that's the only day you can get pork tamales! My In-laws gave me a gift card there for my birthday too which made it even better. Scott has been busy driving driving and driving some more up in North Dakota. This is a great blessing because the first trip up there he wasn't as busy as we had hoped he'd be but this time around it's been much better. He will be heading home tomorrow hopefully and we'll get to see him on Wednesday. Another bit of exciting news is that Scott's younger brother Brigham gets home from his mission on Wednesday! We're so excited to have him home again and we get to go see him at the airport. :)

Shelly's getting married! Here she is at her bridal shower. :)

First Week Home

Well our first week with daddy home came and went already. It went WAY too fast and he's already back in North Dakota. We were able to do a lot of fun things while he was here though and its was especially nice having him home in the day time. This time he will be up there for 3 weeks and home for 2 weeks which will be a lot nicer I think.
Here are some pictures from our week.
Savanna had her 2nd ballet class and daddy got to come and watch! She is so adorable to watch. She LOVES being there and she talks about it all week long.

Canyon started his soccer/football itty bitty ball lessons and daddy got to come to watch that too!

We got to go up to the Living Planet Aquarium with our friends the Hansen's and the kids had a blast.

We spent one day in Provo going to the Museum of Paleontology and the Bean Museum of course. :)

So Mad (Bathroom Makeover)

I found this link to these super cute bathroom art printables on pinterest that were the perfect colors to match the rugs and shower curtain I already had and wanted to get going making over my kids bathroom asap. I went to the thrift store and bought four old frames and brought them home on Saturday. I proceeded to paint them to match the prints and the lime green I already had throughout the bathroom. Today I put the prints in the frames and while assembling the last one I broke the glass trying to force it into the frame. :( I still wanted to hang it up since the others were already on the wall so it looks like I will just be buying some replacement glass soon for that one. It still turned out cute but had to happen of course.
Here is the link to the blog I got the free printables from. She has tons of cute ones on there!

All by his self

Last year for Canyon's birthday we bought him a sweet spiderman bike. After a summer of sitting in the garage because he just really didn't want to practice riding it, we busted it out and he's zipping all over the neighborhood now. It's awesome that we're having bike weather in February! Yesterday we spent hours outside playing at the park and riding bikes. Our neighbors gave Savanna a little mermaid bike they had last summer and she was doing pretty good riding around yesterday too. I've definitely got a bad case of spring fever now after the great weather we had yesterday. :)

Itty Bitty Basketball

Today was Canyon's first day of Itty Bitty Basketball at the AF Fitness Center. He loved it. He's been playing basketball in the driveway with my little brother for the last couple weeks and couldn't wait for itty bitty ball to start. He was so cute and every time he scored he would keep track of how many shots he made and look at me and show me on his hands.

Proud Wife

I am a proud wife. Scott passed his CDL driving test with flying colors on Saturday. He called his new boss in ND that night and he is all set to head up there on Feb. 12th. He is making a big sacrifice for us and I am proud of him and how hard he always works for us. It will be tough to be away from him but we did find out that he can work 2 weeks on and 1 week off instead of 3 weeks on if he'd like to. We'll see how it goes. Love you babe!
