Firetruck Bed

For Christmas this year we got Canyon a big boy bed. We figured it was a good time to take the crib away since the new baby is coming in a few months. We took the crib down and moved it so that he doesn't have the option of sleeping in it. Hopefully when the baby comes in 3 months he will understand that the crib is for her and the firetruck bed is for him. He is so cute, and he was so excited about his firetruck bed.

Canyon's first nap in his firetruck bed. He did so good!

Grandma Diane made Canyon a firetruck blanket to go on his firetruck bed for Christmas.

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year except for Canyon getting sick the night before! He was still a pretty good sport though, even for not feeling very well. The weather helped to make our day a little less hectic. It wasn't so full of appointments like usual with the bad weather and people not wanting to travel. We woke up just before 9:00 and Canyon opened his presents after some coaxing. He didn't really care about the presents when he saw his baseball glove, ball and bat. That's all he wanted. After he opened his presents we went to the Facers for breakfast and to open more presents. After we got through there we came back home and Canyon had a 4 hour nap! He needed it and it was nice to just relax. We went to my parents house later after his nap and then to Kathy's to see the twins. It was 8:30 by that time so we came home and went to bed! It was a wonderful day. I just hope my little boy gets feeling better soon!

Canyon in da box

This is Canyon's new favorite toy. Who need Christmas presents when you have a box that daddy can just cut a window in? He's so funny. He always tells me "Canyon in da box" and then we put him in there and he just sits in it with his blankets and bears.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Yesterday was my Mom's 50th Birthday! We didn't do much because it was on a Sunday but it was nice to have most of the family together for it. Chris even surprised us all by showing up just before dinner from St. George. We all thought he had to work and wouldn't be up until right before Christmas. The only people we were missing were Natalie, Clark & William. Natalie will be having a baby the beginning of February and thought it best not to come down from Seattle. We fixed my Mom a nice Halibut dinner and then had a Strawberry Cheesecake from Kneaders afterwards. Then we all played games! Grandma and Grandpa Williams came for dinner and stayed for a few rounds of Catch Phrase. It was quite entertaining! All in all it went well. We love you mom! You're the best ever!

My Baby Rockstar

Ok, so this is really poor quality because I took it with my cell phone and its in Scott's Parents storage room where its really dark. Oh well though, I still think its cute!

3 years and 2 baby's later... well almost

I can't believe its already been 3 years! Today is our 3 year anniversary! So much has happened in so little time. Canyon will be 20 months old tomorrow and I have 98 days left to go before we get a sweet baby girl!

3 years ago today, Scott & I were married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. It wasn't snowing like it is today but it sure was cold! There was old, ugly snow on the ground and it was 16 degrees outside. We only took pictures outside the temple for about 15 minutes before I couldn't take it any longer! Most of the pictures from that day are of me with my purple hands and red nose. :) We had our reception 3 weeks later and it was so nice not to do it all in one day. I strongly reccomend it. Its much more relaxed.

For those of you who don't know the story of Scott & I here is a brief synopsis. Scott and I met in Jr. High choir. We officially met in 8th grade but didn't start talking to each other until 9th. On Valentine's Day in 9th grade during lunch he asked me to be his girlfriend and that is where it all began. We were "together" until the middle of the Summer and then decided to "break-up" because we never even saw eachother, couldn't drive yet and we were going to different High Schools in the fall. After that, we decided to hate eachother all through High School because we were "Ex's" of course. :) We started dating again a year and a half after High School but that didn't last long because I was dating another guy. After that relationship finally ended I met back up with Scott and we started dating in the Summer of 2005. We got engaged in September of that same year and married in December.

It has been 3 crazy and wonderful years and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Thanks Scott, I love you!!

Duck Hunting Canyon

These are Canyon's favorite toys, go figure. :) He is definitley his daddy's boy. Yesterday morning he knew daddy had gone duck hunting and he walked to the door and said "Bye, mama". When I asked him where he was going he responded with, "duck hunting canyon". He doesn't even know what duck hunting really is! I'm pretty sure he just thinks daddy takes his "toy ducks" out on a boat with his dog and plays. That probably sounds like heaven to Canyon. Hopefully it won't be too much of a rude awakening when he finds out that daddy shoots the pretty duckies. I guess we'll find out!

Daddy's Ties

Canyon found a whole drawer of Scott's ties tonight while we were cleaning our room. He thought he was in heaven! He had so much fun putting on all of the ties at once!

Canyon's New House

For Scott's birthday my mom bought him a new kennel for Jade and it has been at our apartment for a few days since he hasn't used it. Canyon thinks its his and loves to climb inside and shut the door. Its so funny! I keep finding his blankets and binkies in there. I think I might just buy him one of these instead of a big boy bed. What do you think? :)

Canyon's favorite hiding place

This is where I found Canyon the other day... hiding from me. He forgot that when he is hiding that he shouldn't leave a big pile of shoes behind as evidence of where he is. :)

Halloween - A week late!

Pictures from the Ward Halloween Party.

Canyon and Mommy decorating Halloween cookies at Grandma Susan's house. Well, mostly he just ate the candy, after he diped each piece in frosting. Then he decided it would be a good idea to also dip his dorito's in frosting and then lick it off. Yum yum!

Island Park Trip

This past week Canyon and I got to go up to Island Park in Idaho and spend a few days with my family. Scott had to stay and work so that was sad but we still had fun! We went boating and tubing down the river and we spent a day in Yellowstone. It was so much fun!

4th of July Weekend

Canyon eating lunch on the boat.

Scott & Canyon at Seven Peaks.

Canyon watching the hot air balloons.

Eating cookies and fishing at Currant Creek.

Putting dog food in a can...

Look at this fish!

For the 4th of July weekend we did a ton of stuff! Thursday night we went to Seven Peaks with my Dad's singles ward. Friday we took the Facers out on my Dad's boat and spent most of the day on the lake. On Saturday morning we went down to Provo and drove around watching the balloons. After that we went camping at Currant Creek. Canyon loved it! It took me a while to just relax and let Canyon play in the dirt but after that we all had fun. Its a little hard for me to sit back and watch him get covered in dirt but I learned that there really wasn't much I could do about it. I mostly spent the weekend chasing him around with baby wipes! His favorite activity of the whole trip was picking up pieces of Harley's dog food and putting them in a can. :)
