And the baby's name will be...

Savanna Facer

So, after much debate (we're talking tons and tons) Scott & I have finally decided to name the new baby, if she ever comes, Savanna Facer. We went back and forth on 2 other names for a long time and then I thought of Savanna and forced it on Scott for a week or so until he finally agreed a few days ago. Now for those of you who are thinking "you hippies, Canyon & Savanna?" I don't really care. Plus maybe we can be done after this one so that we don't have to follow suit and name the next one something geographical as well! :) We will see...

A Grandpa in the Piggy

Canyon loves his piggy bank. He loves to have Scott & I open the bottom and shake out all the money so that he can put it back in the top. He does it over and over. He got a $10 bill from my Grandma for Christmas and we put it in his piggy bank. Today he came running in to the kitchen holding his piggy bank and said, "mommy, Grandpa in the piggy!" I pulled out the $10 bill and he told me that Grandpa was on the money. It was so funny! I just had to take a picture of him. :)

Look what we bought at Cabela's!

Ok, not really but we fount this bag when we were cleaning our house yesterday and I couldn't resist putting Canyon in it. If they did sell stuff like this a Cabela's maybe I would go with Scott more often though. :)

Yay for Babies!

Congrats to my sister Natalie and Scott's Aunt Emily. They both gave birth to cute little baby girls this week! Emily gave birth to Olivia on Wednesday and Natalie gave birth to Katelyn on Friday. They are both adorable and so little compared to what my little Canyon was! Olivia was 6 lbs 12 oz and Katelyn was 7 lbs 7 oz. We got to go over and visit Emily, Sean & Olivia tonight and it was so fun to hold a tiny baby girl. I can't wait for ours to get here now! I haven't seen Natalie's yet since they live in Seattle but they are coming down around Easter and I am so excited to meet baby Katelyn. I will have had my little girl by then too and it will be so much fun! Congrats again to both!!

Pregnancy cravings?

Well I haven't really had any specific cravings that I've noticed, mostly just anything sweet! Probably not the best craving to have but at this point I don't really care! My friend at work made these lovely little peanut butter bars the other day and they were so good I had to have the recipe... and then immediately go home and make some. :) Thought I would share the recipe with all! Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Peanut Butter Bars

1 C. brown sugar
1 C. sugar
1 C. margarine
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 C. peanut butter
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 C. flour
2 C. oatmeal

Combine sugars, margarine, vanilla, eggs, peanut butter with mixer. Then add baking soda, salt, flour and oatmeal and mix with wooden spoon or mix all in kitchen aid. Spread evenly onto greased jelly roll pan and Bake @ 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

Cool and spread thin layer of peanut butter then top with chocolate frosting.

Frosting:
1 cube margarine
6 Tbsp milk
3 Tbsp cocoa
1 pound powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla

Combine margarine, milk, and cocoa in saucepan and cook on low till bubbles around edges. Remove from heat and mix in powdered sugar and vanilla with hand mixer till smooth, and spread over peanut butter. Enjoy!!!
