The last couple months...

November thru April marks our busiest half of the year.  All of our birthdays and the major holidays fall in this time period.  I love the busyness of it and also love that May - October I can relax for the most part.  :)
November 3rd was Scott's birthday.  He turned 28!  So crazy!  What this really means though is that I'm turning 28 right around the corner...  Scott is such a hard worker and does so much for our family.  The kids and I love him so much and couldn't have asked for a better husband/father.
This week I am officially 36 weeks pregnant and bigger and more uncomfortable than ever!  This pregnancy has been extra hard on my body and I'm not really sure why.  I feel like an old woman all the time and I can hardly hobble around anymore.  I can't wait for this sweet baby girl to decide to make her debut!  I'm hoping she comes early, which is not likely if she follows after her other siblings.  A girl can dream though, right?
On December 16th Scott and I celebrated our 7year anniversary, crazy!  I can't believe how fast 7 years goes by.  It's been crazy and full of ups and downs but it's been wonderful.  My parents were kind enough to have the kids sleep over on Friday night and originally we were going to get a hotel in SLC but lets face it, I'm too big and pregnant to be any fun this year so we'll save that idea for a later date.  :)  We ended up going to dinner at our favorite place, Dock of The Bay, and then finished up some Christmas shopping.  It was a great evening with my handsome hubby.
Last Saturday it actually snowed enough that the kids got to go out and play in it!  That sounds a little strange for Utah I know but ever since we moved down here by Utah Lake we don't hardly get any snow and what we do get doesn't stay long.  We usually have no snow at our house and can drive 5 minutes to Lindon where my parents live to find that they have 8 inches.  Kinda crazy, but good.  Snow isn't my favorite anyway.  :)
Yesterday was a busy day.  It was the last day of school for Canyon before Christmas Break and we got to go to his school's Christmas Sing and watch him perform 2 songs his class has been working on.  He did so good and I'm bummed I didn't get any pictures of him singing.  The place we decided to sit in the auditorium was the farthest away we could be from him of course.  Next year I'll choose something a little more central.
After his Christmas Sing we got to go to Savanna's preschool Christmas program.  She did great singing also and the big guy even showed up so all of the kids got to sit on his lap and tell him what they want for Christmas.
Last but not least, We got a new little cousin yesterday too!  Scott's sister, Alyssa gave birth to a cute little guy yesterday evening and we got to go to the hospital to visit.  The kids loved him and are now even more excited that we get a baby of our very own in the next few weeks.  AS AM I.  Please come soon little lady!

Recap of the last month

We've been so busy around here!  I can't believe how much stuff goes on once your child is finally in school and we're just in kindergarten.  We've already had 2 fundraisers and 2 pajama days and so much more.  There is something new every week.  Wednesdays seem the busiest because I help to change out the books for the 3 kindergarten classes at the school and then Canyon has Soccer Club in the afternoon back at the school.  I'm very grateful that he gets to ride the bus because not only does he love it but then I don't have to run him back and forth everyday.  Savanna is in Preschool 2 days a week and loving it.  She gets so excited to go everyday and is really a little smarty pants.  She's been practicing writing her name and her letters and is doing so well.  I really like her preschool and am glad I decided to let her go this year.
As of tomorrow I will be 29 weeks pregnant and it's not going very fast...  I'm no longer sick which is awesome!  But I have been having my usual back pain and kidney issues which isn't fun either.  We are struggling with agreeing on a name this time but hopefully one will just come to us and fit perfectly.  :)

Savanna on her first day of preschool.  She looks mad but that's just because of the sun.

Canyon at the school Jump-a-thon.  He did great.  :)

Canyon has a stalker...  ok maybe not so extreme but he did get his first love note, phone number and address from the same girl all in the same week.

Savanna decided this is what she wants for Christmas when we were at the grand opening of Scheels a few weeks ago...

The kiddos when we were at the hospital for my rhogam shot last week.  Canyon was dressed in Scrubs for career day that day so the nurse was nice enough to give them "accessories" so they could look like real doctors.

Canyon's First Week of Kindergarten

Canyon started Kindergarten on Tuesday, August 28th and his first week has come and gone already.  He was so excited to start Kindergarten and what makes it even more fun is that he gets to ride the bus to and from school.  He loves it!  His favorite part is waiting at the bus stop for the bus to come in the mornings because he gets to play freeze tag with the big kids.  He goes to school from 9:00 to 11:55 so the first day Savanna and I sat in the front yard starting at about 12:15 and waited until the bus finally arrived at 12:50.  When the bus pulled up in front of our house I waited patiently for Canyon to get off the bus.  After waiting patiently and no one getting off I walked over to the bus doors and said I was waiting for Canyon.  The bus driver turned around and shouted for Canyon and no one came.  Finally I started walking up the steps of the bus and saw him walking down the aisle.  "I can't find my backpack mom", he said.  Typical Canyon.  So busy talking that he doesn't pay attention to what he is doing.  We proceeded to walk to the back of the bus looking on each bench and found it on one of the back seats where his little gang of ward friends were sitting.  After that I stressed to him that he needs to always pay attention to where his backpack is so he doesn't lose it.  We also want to apologize to the cars that were patiently waiting behind the stopped bus.  :)
Canyon has loved school so far and I am so happy about this.  He loves coming home from school and showing me his papers that me did at school that day and telling me about PE or the library or the computer lab or whatever other new and exciting thing they got to experience that day.
Savanna and I have missed him for the 3 hours that he is gone in the mornings but it has also been fun to spend time with her just one on one.  Tomorrow she starts preschool and is thrilled!  She will be going twice a week just for 2 hours a day and it will be so strange having both of my kids gone for those couple hours.
I've been so blessed to have been able to quit my job last August and spend this year with my kids.  I'm sad that they are growing up so fast and leaving me!  It will be nice to have a couple hours a week alone though at least until this baby comes in January.  :)

So far behind...

Wow I can't believe I haven't blogged in so long!  Well a lot has happened.  Here is a brief update.
Scott is no longer working in North Dakota!  Wahoo!  Huge blessing.  :)
I am 21 weeks pregnant and we just found out we're having a baby girl!
Canyon started Kindergarten last Tuesday, crazy!
And Savanna starts preschool tomorrow... wow!

Canyon's Birthday and Daddy's 2 week visit!

We were so lucky to have Scott home for 2 weeks with us this last time he was home!  We ended up picking him up in Logan because of issues with his truck but it worked out because we picked him up the morning of Canyon's birthday and then stayed in Logan overnight and made a fun day of it.  I got a great hotel on priceline and since it was a Tuesday we got it for a steal!  We did so many fun things while Scott was home.  We went hiking, fishing, shopping and so much more!  It was so great to have him home and really sad to see him leave again.  He's back in ND now but only for 2 weeks this time and not 3 like the last time.  We can't wait for him to come back!
In other news... Canyon turned 5 on April 17th!  We can't even believe how fast time has flown with this little guy.  We love him so much and got to celebrate his birthday all week!

Easter

We had such a great Easter this past weekend! The only thing that would have made it better was if Scott could have been here with us. :( Other than that though it was pretty great. We got to go to two Easter egg hunts, one at my Grandma and Grandpa's farm and one at Scott's Aunt Emily's house. Easter Sunday we got to go to Grandma Susan's Sacrament Meeting and see Brigham give his homecoming talk. After spending the day on the Facers deck basking in the warm sun and getting sunburned... (just me of course) we went to my parents for dinner. It was a wonderful weekend.

A party fit for a little princess

Little Miss Savanna had a birthday this past week and she's now 3 years old! When we asked her what kind of a party she wanted to have of course her response was Rapunzel! We had a wonderful party and had both sides of the family over for dinner, presents and cupcakes. I got her a Rapunzel dress for her birthday and she wore it for 4 days straight. She still asks to wear it every day but I've been making her wait until we're done going places for the day to put it on. We sure love this little girl so much and are so blessed to have her as a big part of our family. :)

Aunt Alyssa gave her Rapunzel hair for her birthday and it pretty much made her night. :)

Singing happy birthday and blowing out her candle.

And what would a Rapunzel party be with out floating lanterns?!

Busy Busy

Life is busy as ever at the Facer residence. We've been busy the last few weeks with showers and weddings and receptions and birthdays and holidays and everything in between. :) Canyon has been busy with preschool and itty bitty ball. This month he's learning how to play soccer and football and doing very well at both. Savanna is loving dance class and spend her afternoons trying on every dress in her closet twice. Yesterday she was so lucky because Aunt Alyssa let her model some Rapunzel dresses for their online business and it was the best day ever. :) She will be turning 3 in a week and is so excited because she is having a Rapunzel party. I have been super busy with my Etsy shop this month, which is awesome and I hope it doesn't slow down. I celebrated my 27th birthday with my kiddos last week and although Scott was away it was still a wonderful day and my family made sure it was special. Nikki came over in the afternoon with a bouquet of flowers and cupcakes from none other than my fav place dippidee! Love my sister. :) After we had cupcakes we walked to the park and played for a while. For dinner the kids and I went to Cafe Rio because Thursdays at Cafe Rio are the best because that's the only day you can get pork tamales! My In-laws gave me a gift card there for my birthday too which made it even better. Scott has been busy driving driving and driving some more up in North Dakota. This is a great blessing because the first trip up there he wasn't as busy as we had hoped he'd be but this time around it's been much better. He will be heading home tomorrow hopefully and we'll get to see him on Wednesday. Another bit of exciting news is that Scott's younger brother Brigham gets home from his mission on Wednesday! We're so excited to have him home again and we get to go see him at the airport. :)

Itty Bitty Football :)

First Week Home

Well our first week with daddy home came and went already. It went WAY too fast and he's already back in North Dakota. We were able to do a lot of fun things while he was here though and its was especially nice having him home in the day time. This time he will be up there for 3 weeks and home for 2 weeks which will be a lot nicer I think.
Here are some pictures from our week.
Savanna had her 2nd ballet class and daddy got to come and watch! She is so adorable to watch. She LOVES being there and she talks about it all week long.

Canyon started his soccer/football itty bitty ball lessons and daddy got to come to watch that too!

We got to go up to the Living Planet Aquarium with our friends the Hansen's and the kids had a blast.

We spent one day in Provo going to the Museum of Paleontology and the Bean Museum of course. :)
